IDENTIFICATION: #28 red triangular sign on east shore.
HARBOUR FACILITIES: None.
AREA AMENITIES: Cottage subdivision on west shore has a boat launch at the small bay west of the cottages. Old Camp Rayner (4H) and the Girl Guide Camp are on the east shore.
ACCESS BY ROAD: From Birsay go 8 km (5 mi) east, then either a) 5 km (3 mi) south to cottage subdivision on the west shore, or b) 2 km (1.2 mi) south and 4 km (2.4 mi) south-east to Camp Raynor and the Girl Guide Camp on the east shore.
NOTES: Popular area for power boats and fishing thus not a good overnight spot. Original Hitchcock Cabin is on the west bank near the small church. Jack Hitchcock , an early pioneer, was a unique character and has become somewhat
of a legend.
